    $45,000 - $55,000: Groundwork Lawrence (GWL) is seeking a Project Manager to lead and implement a variety of landscape and infrastructure improvement projects throughout the City of Lawrence. Projects typically include a mix of renovation and new construction of parks, streetscapes, community and schoolyard gardens, and waterfront trails, as well as site planning and design for residential and mixed-use properties.

  • LEED for Landscapes

    The Sustainable Sites Initiative has announced the launch of its pilot program rating the "greenness" of landscapes using a similar system that LEED uses for rating buildings.

  • Paul Sachs to co-Teach at New Organic Lawn and Turf Course

    The sixth annual NOFA Organic Lawn and Turf Course, featuring new topics and speakers, will be held in Providence, RI on August 5th.  Nationally known natural turf expert and veteran NOFA OLC teacher Chip Osborne is revising the agenda to provide up-to-date information on turf management.

    In addition to Osborne and returning Don Bishop, new speakers include Paul Sachs of North Country Organics, author of several books on organic turf, and Javier Gil of J.Gil Organic Landscaping, a NOFA/Mass boardmember. 

  • Be Green Organic Yards in NY Launched

    New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has launched a new program to faciliate organic management of yards and landscapes, called "Be Green Organic Yards NY."
